kcalIf you have old bread left at home that has become stale, do not rush to throw it away, because its finest hour has come. Strata is a delicious and simple dish based on bread, eggs, and bacon. This recipe of bread paired with cheese is a great breakfast option to please your family.
I like to prepare it night before and refrigerate the next morning for breakfast. My husband loves this dish and always asks for more!
Although the word Strata seem Italian, the dish originated in the US, in the early 20th century, and it became popular in the 1960s and 1970s. In this recipe I use bacon, but if you exclude it, this recipes becomes a great vegetarian option that is delicious, cheap and fast to make.
