Ingredients
1 package (400 g – 14.3 oz) shortcrust pastry
1 package (300g – 10.7 oz) of frozen berry mix
1/2 cup (150g – 5.3 oz) frozen raspberries
180 g (6.4 oz) sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
Directions
- Mix the berries and sugar in a saucepan or frying pan and put on a stove. Saute the berries, stirring constantly until they release their juice. Cook for 7-10 minutes more.
- Mix 80 ml (2.7 fl oz) of water and cornstarch
- Add cornstarch mixture to your berries.
- Place the mixture on the stove and cook for 5 minutes over medium heat until thickened.
- Line the shortcrust dough into the baking dish. Make some holes with a fork in different places. Place the mold in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Take the remaining dough and place it in the freezer for 15 minutes. Then take out and crush it into fine crumbs using a blender.
- Remove the mold with the dough from the refrigerator. Line the top with baking paper and sprinkle weights on top of the paper. This could be beans or special glass balls for baking. We do that to stop the dough from rising. Place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees C° (350 F) for 15 minutes. Remove the baking paper with beans and bake for another 10 minutes. The base for the pie is ready.
- Place pastry paper on a baking sheet, spread the crumbs evenly on top and place in the oven for 15 minutes until the crumbs are lightly browned.
- Now pour berry filling to the tart base.
- Spread the crumbs evenly over the berry filling and bake for 15 minutes.
- Cool the tart to room temperature and remove from the pan (if using a springform pan). The tart is ready! Bon appetit.
