Hamburgers, or burgers as most Americans call them, are a favorite staple of the national cuisine. Instead of driving through a fast food restaurant and getting a lukewarm, mediocre hamburger, you can make this easy hamburger recipe at home and enjoy a much better tasting result.

Hamburger is inexpensive and you can find it at just about any grocer. You can also purchase it directly from the butcher. When making burgers, select a package of hamburger that is at least 80 percent lean.
While you can cook burgers on an indoor electric grill or in a frying pan on the stove, many people feel that they taste the best when cooked on a charcoal grill or a gas grill. Whichever way you choose to cook these burgers, you’ll want to make sure the patties are thoroughly cooked due to food safety reasons. Whether you’re grilling or cooking them on the stovetop, you’ll need to use a meat thermometer to ensure that the internal temperature reaches at least 60 C° (140 degrees Fahrenheit).
After you make this hamburger recipe, you can freeze the patties if you do not plan to cook them right away. You can freeze them in individual plastic containers or wrap them in plastic wrap and freeze them in a stack. Thaw the patties in the refrigerator before cooking. These cheese stuffed hamburgers will be sure to become a family favorite and be a requested item at your next barbecue or picnic.
